Italian suspension specialists Maselli developed the ultimate front suspension for American V-Twin motorcycles and produces these exclusively for Zodiac. Improved handling and damping characteristics are the benefits of these precision made units, which feature chrome-moly fork tubes, machined aluminum alloy sliders, hard anodized damper rods and smooth clear or black anodized top tubes and wheel axle clamps. The triple trees are machined from a block of billet aluminum with a mirror shine polished finish, and then eventually black anodized. Forks feature integrated caliper brackets left and right for use with 2000-up Harley style calipers (except radial type) designed for use with 11 1/2" (292mm) discs.The completely new designed and styled version of our Upside Down forks feature:
• Smoothened 54mm aluminum top tubes
• 43mm Chrome-moly inner tubes with a hard chromed or black hard DLC coated finish
• Completely new developed damper units
• 5 1/2" (140mm) travel
• Individual fork spring pre-load adjustment
• Hidden mount 25mm wheel axle
Fitment
These forks are for custom fitment in the following chassis:
● all 4-speed Big Twin
● FXR
● Evolution Softail
● Twin Cam Softail
● Evolution Dyna
● 2000-2005 Twin Cam Dyna
● all pre-2004 Sportster
Fork oil change:
For street use: light weight oil SAE 10. For extreme heavy bikes, extreme or race use: SAE 12.5 or 15.
Drain forks completely, remove fork springs. Fit fork tubes exactly vertical in a vise one at a time. Compress the fork fully. Remove all the air from the fork by moving the outer tube and the damper rod 10 to 20 times slowly up and down. Top up the compressed forks with fork oil to 100mm under the edge, decompress forks and install fork springs and top nuts.
Notes: Handlebar damper rubbers and bushings must be shortened for correct fit
