Description & Size Guide

Due to the construction of the engine and transmission set up of the Twin Cam Softail it is not possible to offset the transmission to make room for 200 or bigger tires. The Wide and Extra Wide swingarm kits enable you to mount up to 250 monster tires in your stock Softail. The Wide tire kit will accept 200 tires on a 6 1/2" rim using the stock width belt. The Extra Wide swingarm takes 240 and 250 wide tires on an 8" or 8 1/2" wide rim with the stock width belt on models thru 2013. All 2014 and later models require the use of a 20mm final drive belt. Kit contains a swingarm with wheel axle and all necessary parts to offset the primary, and a trick caliper bracket that enables you to use the stock rear caliper. For 230 tires on a 15" steel rim a small modification of the OEM caliper may be needed, 15" cast or billet wheels require the use of a custom rear caliper and 10" disc brake rotor. Tabs for the belt guard are welded in place. Due to the variety of wheels, fenders, fender struts, and wheel spacers, these are not included.

Note:
Kit for 2012-2013 models also fits 2008-2011 models that are equipped with a Screamin' Eagle compensator OEM 40274-08 or 40274-08A. These feature only 1 thrust washer between the sprocket and sprocket retainer. Kit for 2014 to present models also fits 2008-2013 models that are equipped with a Screamin' Eagle compensator OEM 36500034A, 40100061, 4220064A or 42200095A. These feature a thrust needle bearing and 2 washers between the sprocket and sprocket retainer.
