Standard 3-1/2" bore. Used to run a Shovel with Panhead style heads. Cylinder head conversion kit for 66-84 Shovelheads. This are Panhead look alike heads, as used by S&S on their P-series engines. These are actually S&S Shovelhead based heads with just a Panhead rocker cover so the whole set-up is basically identical as would be done with S&S Shovelhead heads. The valve train drive technique is based on the Evo Big Twin, so Evo hydraulic units, Evo billet tappet guides, Quickee pushrods with through the pushrod top end oiling, specialty P-Series rocker shafts, rocker cradle and S&S Shovel roller rocker arms are used. Will fit Shovelhead cylinders since the stock Shovel head bolt pattern and the stock Shovel style fire-ring is used. For intake stock Shovel O-ring style intake manifolds can be used. The exhaust mounting style is stock Shovelhead as well. Heads come complete with valves and a .590" lift valve spring kit installed. Kit comes complete as shown. Note: You may need to order separately one or more of the following parts: 1) 66-E78 O-ring style manifold. 2) 70-E78 stock engines require a L78-87 style pinion gear since an Evo B.T. cam must be used. 3) 84-99 Evo B.T. style camshaft. 4) 66-69 stock engines require a special generator style cam with 84-99 style lobes.
